About GH Cosmetology School

GH Cosmetology School is the second school after the Media School. It is aproved by the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the comission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training to train students to provide grooming, beauty and cosmetology needs for individuals and organisations. Over the past years, we have emerged as a brand of choice both for prospective students and the Beauty and Cosmetology Industry as far as skills-oriented training is concerned.

Our trained students have excellec in every area of their desired field and have been our best ambassadors and brand influences. We have over 100 trained cosmetologists offering services to reknowed beauticians, saloons and media houses across the country.

The school has partnered with other schols for events like womens week celebrations, fashion week and SRC celebrations; a very recent one with the African University College of Communications. Also, many reputable brands and personalities have patronized it popular bridal showcase, beauty and hair exhibitions organized during the closing ceremony of every semester notably Mr Seth Karikari (KooFori), Honorable Theresa Awuni, General Ntatia, Luis Lamin (CEO, Legacy Production) etc.

Currently, the school has three main academic programes, namely:

Mrs. Belomina Amponsah-Bronni
Head of School: Cosmetology & Fashion
Mrs. Belomina Amponsah- Bronni is an educationist with a Master of Arts Degree in Administration in High Education from the University of Cape Coast. She also holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Education, Winneba and Diploma in Education from UCC. Prior to bagging these degrees, Mrs. Amponsah-Bronni schooled at the Presbyterian Teacher Training College in Akropong where she was certified as Certificate A graduate in Education. She is also a stern disciplinary who believes in creating an accommodative environment for impactful tuition and skills setting. Miss Belomina Amponsah- Bronni joined the GH Schools fraternity in 2017 and is currently the head of School for the Fashion and Cosmetology faculty respectively. She also doubles as the Salon and Spa Lecturer for the Cosmetology School. She is also in charge of quality assurance at GH Schools.

Matilda Aba Bemah Quaye
Head of the cosmetology department
Matilda Aba Bemah Quaye is a fully trained and a qualified Beauty therapist. She studied Cosmetology in the Lagos State Skill Acquisition Center, Nigeria in 2009, where she was awarded with a Cosmetology Certificate. She later relocated to Ghana in 2011 to further her Beauty course at 2nd Image Beauty Institute, where she was also awarded with Diploma in Beauty Therapy. After her training at 2nd image, she was employed as a Teaching Assistant and later became a Beauty Facilitator after pursing a CBT facilitator course in 2013. Matilda joined Gh Schools in 2019 where she is currently the Head of the cosmetology department and also a Facilitator in Beauty therapy. Her passion is to enhance skills and train learners to achieve world class knowledge so as to set the pace in the beauty industry.

Shaft Boateng
Hair Technology
Shaft Boateng is a professional Hairstylist with over 20 years experience both on the field and as a Facilitator. He holds a Diploma in Cosmetology and has been accredited certification in Cosmetology Facilitation and External Verifier (EV) by the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET). He is also a member of the Ghana Hairdressers and Beauticians Association (GHABA). He is skilled in all aspects of Hair care services and training for clients, celebrity, groups and individual including full class room presentation and student performance reviews. He is outgoing, easily adjust to people and places. He is currently in charge of Hair Technology in GH Cosmetology School. His is to impact, share and become a resource person in the Beauty Industry.

Nathaniel Amewugah
SFX makeup facilitator
Nathaniel Amewugah popularly known as Kruz_K. The 26-year-old Ghanaian Special Effects and MakeUp artist holds a Diploma in Theater Arts from GH Media School, where he majored in Makeup and costuming. Currently the Sfx makeup facilitator at GH cosmetology school. Originally from Peki in the Volta Region, Nathaniel completed Hohoe EP Senior High School after his basic school education at Danadinas Preparatory School – Accra. After breaking onto the scene in 2016, he has acquired credits for his work on several film projects spanning 6 years. Some of the notable titles he contributed to include, Baabani, My Name is Ramadan, 95, Evil Dead and the yet to be released action thriller, Terminus.

Miss Sarah Maame Abena Baahwa Kona

Miss Sarah Maame Abena Baahwa Kona popularly known as Miss Rhabby is a young Professional and certified makeup artist who had her tertiary education at the central university college. Whiles in school, she fell in love with makeup Artistry and this led to her joining Primmy makeup school to learn makeup alongside her degree at the university. Over the past few years, Miss Kona has grown to become one of the finest Celebrity makeup artist in Ghana and has trained many others in the field. Hard work, determination and discipline are the secrets to her success. Her immerse talent led to her being employed by the GH cosmetology school where she is currently the facilitator of the makeup class.
